Your child just earned a tournament spot — and the first match is only weeks away. FastTrack Tournament Preparation is a focused, coach-led program that gets young cricketers match-ready in about eight weeks.

Who FastTrack is for

FastTrack is built for the player with a deadline: a tournament, trial or roster spot with a match date on the calendar — often just a few weeks away. Instead of open-ended general practice, every session is sequenced around peaking on that specific date. It suits committed young cricketers who already have the basics and now need to sharpen quickly, as well as players stepping up to a higher level of competition for the first time.

It also works alongside whatever your child already does. FastTrack is a focused, time-boxed program, so players who train elsewhere or play for a club can add it in the run-up to their tournament without disruption.

Why eight weeks works

Eight weeks is long enough to make real change and short enough to stay focused. It gives coaches time to fix the highest-impact technical flaws, rebuild them into consistent skills, and then pressure-test those skills in match-like conditions — all while steadily building fitness and confidence so the player arrives at the tournament at their peak rather than burned out. Cramming the same work into two or three weeks rarely sticks; spreading it across eight lets each gain settle before the next is added.

The 8-week framework

Every plan is tailored to the player and their tournament, but it follows four clear phases:

Weeks 1–2

Assess & rebuild fundamentals

Technical audit of batting, bowling and fielding; fix the highest-impact flaws first.

Weeks 3–4

Match-specific skills

Drill the shots, deliveries and fielding positions the player will actually use in the tournament.

Weeks 5–6

Pressure & game awareness

Scenario practice, decision-making and fitness so skills hold up under match pressure.

Weeks 7–8

Peak & sharpen

Simulated match play, mental preparation and fine-tuning so the player arrives confident and ready.

What’s included

  • Coach-led sessions at our indoor Jersey City facility — train rain or shine.
  • A structured, written plan tied to the tournament date.
  • Batting, bowling, fielding, fitness and mental preparation.
  • Coaches who have competed at national and Minor League level.

What your child will gain

By the end of the program, players should be noticeably sharper in the skills their tournament demands, fitter and more match-aware, and — just as importantly — more confident walking out to bat or bowl. The goal is not a quick fix but a focused block of development that leaves a lasting improvement, with the tournament as the target that pulls it all together.

How to get started

The sooner you start, the more the eight-week plan can do — so reach out as soon as your child has a tournament date. Tell us the date and the format, and we will build a preparation plan around it and confirm available session times at our indoor Jersey City facility. You can register online or contact us with any questions.
